Spring Card for Magnolia_licious

Hi everyone, hope everyone's weekend is well and truly off to a great start and the weather is co-operating wherever you live.

I was playing around with my Cricut Expressions the other day, trying to make card templates and managed to do complete this circle easel card.

I really love the variety you can achieve with the easel card and will be trying to make a few more different styles, but in the meantime, I though this would be a nice entry into the Magnolia_licious Home Card for April.

For this card I used the gorgeous Tilda with three flowers and colored her with Copics. I decided to leave her dress white because it seems so crisp and fresh, and to me that feels like the start of Spring. The large butterfly was cut on my cricut using MS Elegant Cakes cartridge and the smaller ones are MS Monarch butterfly punch, which I chalked and covered with SU Dazzling Diamonds.

The fun daisies are by Kaisercraft and I think they set this card off beautifully. The lovely ruffled green organza ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you like this little card today and hope you can find some quiet time to spend in your craft room this weekend.

March Mingle card - Dewi pls don't look

Hello everyone...and Happy Hump Day :)

This is the card I was hoping to post a couple of days ago, but had a hectic few days.

DH who works fly in / fly out (2 weeks away and 1 week home) came home half way through his roster with what the Medico's thought may have been DVT. But results have come back clear for DVT thank goodness. He just has to rest, so he will be home for a couple of weeks.

Anyhoo, I tried to post this card yesterday but Blogger wouldn't co-operate....surprise surprise!!

I wanted to share this little card I made for my March Mingle partner Dewi who lives quite close to me, as she is only in Indonesia.

As St Paddy's Day was coming up, I chose to stay with that theme and this is what I came up with.

I love this Midsummer Tilda, and think she looks gorgeous all dressed up in her lovely 'green'. Bazzill CS for card base and mats, DP's are MME, Doiley, Flowers WOC, Sentiment is computer generated and Distress Ink for the mat edges.

Tilda with Balloon

Wow I can't believe it has been almost 5 weeks since my last post. I have been trying to visit all your wonderful creations as much as possible and am blown away by the gorgeous work you have all been doing.

This Tilda with Balloon is a card that I started a couple of weeks ago and finished off today. I am so not happy with the coloring. I think it was one I colored a few weeks ago when I was having a few problems with my eyes and before I got my new glasses lol. Anyway, good or bad here it is.

For the card I used DP by Bearly Mine Digi Papers, flowers are WOC flowers, MS punch, Cuttlebug Roses Embossing Folder, Whimsy Stamps Birthday Letter Seals and all other is from stash.

Mojo Monday Challenge entry

This is my second posting for today and it is going to be a quick one because I need to get this posted for the Mojo Monday Challenge. The sketch was designed by Julee Tilman and it is a great one. This is my very first sketch challenge and I can't believe how much I enjoyed it.

Anyways, I used Edwin wants a hug with this adorable Tilda, who's name I cannot find. I thought they belonged together.

I colored both images with Copics (of course), Papers are Bazzill CS, Francheville 'Lavender Symphony' and My Memories.

Sentiment is a stamp I got at Viva Las Vegas Stamps last year, isn't it just so cute!

The inside of the card has also been completed with the My memories Floral paper, pearls and blank Nestie for writing at a later date.

Tilda with Peony Memory Station

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday

One of my daughter's recently returned to work full time and mentioned she wanted one of these fabulous little Memory Stations for her desk.

She was going to make it herself, but somehow she just doesn't seem to get the time. So I thought I would make one for her.

Now you may remember that back in December I made little bags for the girls in my craft group...see here, well DD Nicole was also in the group and she had requested cream & black (because she knew what I was making) so I thought I would make the Memory Station in the same papers.

I got the tutorial for this project from Debbie Pamment here: thanks Debbie :)

I did use a heavier card than the normal CS for the actual drawer base and had to adapt the directions to accommodate the difference in thickness.

The paper is 'At Last' by Bella AMore Paperz. You may not be able to see it in the pic but the black is actually flocked...gorgeous.

Tilda with Peony seemed so right for this project, I colored her with copics, highlighted the lacy trim and bow on her dress with a touch of stardust stickles and finished off by adding glossy accents to her shoes.

I knew I wanted to use a black rose on here, but I didn't have any....thank goodness for the air compressor. I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

I got the calendar template from Cat's Creations here. She even has 2012 templates for download already.

All the flowers are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon and drawer 'bling' are from my stash.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little Memory Box, I would love to know what you think of it.

Hi everyone,

What do you think of my updated blog? I am fairly happy with it. I had to actually enlarge the header myself in photoshop elements and I managed to do it......doing happy dance....:)

Anyways this is just a quick post because I need to get this linked to several challenges and it is very late and I am a very tired. I have been up since 5.15am this morning ready for the Air Conditioning repairman. He was supposed to be here at 6am to service our AC but didn't arrive until 7.15 then I had to go up to town for my optometrist appointment.

I tried to sleep earlier but I think I am overtired, and I have a 9am dentist appointment...:(

SO.....

I used Longing Tilda in a lemon and mauve combo, copics of course, digi DP is from Bearly Mine, cut Tilda out with a Nestie then masked her and airbrushed the background with copic Y32.

The delicious ribbon, doily and pearls are from stash and all flowers are from WOC. The sentiment is SU.

Well today I wanted to show you all this absolutely gorgeous little honey....her name is Joy and she is one of four Sugar Nellie digi cuties over at Funky Kits and what an absolute dream to work with.

As you can see I have made another easel card because I just love this style of card.

Anyways, the base CS is Bazzill chocolate brown with a pale blue mats which I distressed and stitched and added chocolate brown ribbon with a light brown pearl slider over cream crocheted lace to both upper and lower sections of the card.

'Joy' was colored with copics, and mounted on nesties label 10. The lovely DP from deep in the stash drawer had no name...sorry. The sentiment is SU, flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts with a touch of Star Dust stickles, MS Branch and Frond punches for the leaves and ribbon and charms are again from stash.

I hope you like this sweetie as much as I do, I am entering her into creataliciouschallenges.

Copic Storage Instructions

After my recent post showing the Copic Storage Unit that I made using Foam Core Board, I had several requests for the instructions and this is what I came up with.

I hope it is clear enough to understand. Having it clear in your head and putting it on paper is not as easy as it seems.

Anyhoo...this is it.....

Assemble the outside of the unit using glue gun or epoxy glue.

Once assembled, divide each shelf by the number of pigeon holes you require (don't forget to take into account the thickness of the upright dividers when calculating).

Once you have made the calculations, mark the board at the measured requirements with pencil.

The mark should be 1/4" or 5mm wide and be half the depth of the shelf.

Using your Stanley/Exacto Knife cut out the slots as below.

When you have the shelves ready, prepare the upright dividers, taking care to match slots with shelves.

Slot shelves and uprights together as shown below.

This is how the slotted dividers should look like when correctly assembled.

Once you have all the shelves/dividers slotted together, carefully place inside the unit frame. At this point you may need to glue dividers to the frame at some points. And that's it....finished.

As I got this idea from 'zkittyz' on YouTube and modified it to suit, you can easily modify it to suit your needs as well.

Valentines card for challenges

Evening all :) Well it's Friday evening here and I'm looking forward to a lovely weekend ..... doing NOTHING MUCH......lol

Ok so it's a new month and I have made this card to enter into a couple of challenges,and, because it's Valentine's Day very soon I will be giving this to my wonderful hubby.

I tried to follow a card example from a UK magazine, but couldn't follow the instructions to save my life. It was supposed to have side bars on either side of the easel card.

Mine turned out a bit larger than the example, but hey....my man is worth it.

I used Silver, Pink and White CS and the lovely heart border is a MS punch. The gorgeous DP behind Tilda with Peony was a bargain buy a while ago at a discount store. I ran the silver mat through the cuttlebug with the Roses folder and used Wild Orchid flowers and silver ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is an old one from the 'forgotten' stamp box....KWIM...the old box on the shelf with all the old wood mounted beauties that always gets very overlooked.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Sunday everyone,

Now I know I am cutting this rather fine, but the challenge over at Magnolia_licious Highlites is for a calendar inspired project featuring at least 1 magnolia image and it closes tomorrow :(

I have had this project finished for a few days now, but have been babysitting a few of my grandchildren and am running awfully late in entering it.

I did follow a tutorial for this project and I do apologize, but I don't seem to be able to find it now. If it is your tutorial or you know who did it, can you please let me know so that I can credit the author. It was a great tutorial, very easy to follow and I'm pretty sure I just found it through a google search.

The base of the project is constructed from heavy duty glossy white CS, the DP is almost the last of an old fave and has long since lost it's details. The calendar is a free download that I am sure I found over at Split Coast Stampers. I attached the amber diamanties, and found the gorgeous ornate brad in my stash which worked beautifully.

I used Tilda Writing Diary for this project, colored her with Copics cut her out with a Nestie, added Wild Orchid flowers and MS Branches and finished it all off with a pink organza bow.

Well, I had better scoot and get this posted, I sure hope you are all having a great weekend.

My Copic Storage

I have been reading a lot of mail lately about different storage methods for our wonderful copic markers, and I thought I would share mine with you. After unsuccessfully searching for a suitable solution, I came across a YouTube video by zkittyz and decided it was just what I needed.

I did have a little bit of trouble finding the foamcore but eventually found it at an art supply store. My Son In Law gave me a hand and this is the finished result. We did make a few modifications to suit (ie we cut slits in the shelving pieces so that they interlocked, giving them more strength and stability) and mine isn't quite the same size but overall I am extremely happy with the unit. The whole unit only took about 2-3 hours to complete.

Oh and the Snap Lock container is actually made up of 2 containers that I bought on my recent holiday in Bali over Christmas and works like a charm for my bits and pieces.

I hope this inspires others to try and make one of these fabulous storage units....If I can do it....you can too.

January Mingle card

My January Mingle partner Crystal Thomas let me know she has received the mingle card I sent her, so I can now post it for you to see....I hope you like it...it was so much fun making this one.

I wanted to make a middle step card for this mingle, so, I masked Dinner Tilda #388 (this still has to be my very Favorite Tilda)and sat her on the Kitchen #628, both appear to be in store and available from Diana's store.

Both images were stamped on XPress-It Blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. Card base is Bazzill and the DP is from stash and had no identifying marks...sorry.

Next I used the Cricut cartridge Once Upon a Princess and cut, layered and embossed the teapot and cups. The embossing folder I used was Birds and Swirls and then I distress inked the edges.

Now I would have loved to have used a real teabag, but as this 'lil gal was heading to Illinois USA I didn't want to take the chance with customs. So I used some ribbon from my stash, good old Scor-Tape (that stuff is just pure magic!!), string/twine and a pre-made tag from stash to which I inked the edges and made my own.

The sentiment is from WOJ General Sayings.

I really enjoyed using my cricut in the making of this card and think I need to start using it a lot more.

Magnolia_licious Challenge Entry

Hi everyone,

Gee I can't believe how productive I have been this week. Today I would like to show you the card I am entering into the Magnolia_licious Challenge .

The theme for this challenge was chosen by Cabio and it is to use the colors Orange and Green.

The design team has created some awesome creations for inspiration and you should check them out...WOW

Now I don't normally participate in challenges, I think I have only done 1 or 2 since I began this cardmaking journey, but i have decided that tis year I would try and enter at least one each month.

That may be a bit difficult come May/June as my DH and I will be in the US for 5 weeks on holiday. I know there is a feature here somewhere that will allow me to program in when I want the post to upload....I will just have to find it. :)

Anyways.....this is the card I will be entering into the challenge:

Peachy Tilda seemed to be the perfect choice for this challenge card. Stamped in Memento Ink on Neenah Classic Crest, colored with Copic markers and cut with Nesties Label 10. I 'smudged' the edges of the Nestie with my Versamark pad and used Pebbles chalk.

The DP's are Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls 'Sunny Plaid' and My Memories #144026 mounted on Olive Green Bazzill CS easel card base. I cross stitched along the sides of the DP'sand ran a ribbon horizontally across the center before mounting the nestie. I didn't have the right shade of button, so I airbrushed it to get the color I wanted (love my Copics) and attached with DMC Cotton Perle thread.

For the bottom part of the card I layered 2 buttons and attached with the thread, and added WOJ sentiment to a pre-cut tag which I added ribbon and green pearl sliders.

To finish off I used Glossy Accents on the Peaches, added Stardust Stickles to Tilda's lace work and finally MS Branch and Frond punches to add the greenery at the side of the Nestie.

December Mingle card

Hey everyone, I hope you all have something wonderful planned for the weekend. My plan is to spend as much 'me' time in my craftroom as I can....:) I'm sure you can all relate with that.

Anyways, I was tidying up my blog and realized that I hadn't posted the December Mingle and that I made for Darrelle F. I hadn't posted it before heading off to Bali for the holidays and it got overlooked.

I love the popular Easel Card and decided thats what I would do for this card.

I used an off white Bazzill CS for the base and mat and then I distressed the edges and inked with DI's. The DP is a really pretty embossed paper by Upikit (not one I have ever heard of before, but so nice). Next a Cuttlebug Disney Die & Emboss set for the Christmas Tree complete with Liquid Pearl baubles and star brad for the tree topper and some cute present stickers under the tree finished the tree off.

The sentiment is Snow Brackets (Merry Christmas) by Stampendous and I stamped it on a Nestie diecut and popped it on foam tape for dimension.

Finally our gorgeous Secret Tilda........well she is colored with Copic Markers with a touch of Star Dust Stickles to the lace on her clothes and the present behind her back.

I was pleased with the result and Darrelle was happy with it too....

and now for something a little different :)............

Whiff Of Joy - Kneeling Willow

Well how cute is this little lady? Her name is Kneeling Willow by Whiff of Joy stamps and this is the first time I have inked her up. I got her from Bizzy Becs and although I don't see her in store right now, I'm sure will Bec will get her in for you if you drop her a note.

I found this Middle Step Card tutorial on YouTube and it really just seemed to suit this card perfectly. You can find the tutorial here.

Anyhoo, ingredients for this card are:

I started with a pale olive or safari color Bazzill Cardstock and found this DP from Kaisercraft (the only name I have of the paper is on the flip side and it's called 'Wish Upon' ) for the second DP, I found this polka dot paper and I think works brilliantly. Unfortunately I don't have the name of this paper as I found it in my cutoffs/scraps drawer....sorry.

I stamped with memento on XPress-It Blending card and cut it using a Nellie Snellen die. I colored Willow with Copics and then chalked the edges of the die with Pebbles Chalks and used foam tape to give it dimension and make it pop.

I finished off with 2 different ribbons and a little button/charm thingee from my stash.

I haven't put a sentiment on it yet because I think it could be used for several purposes and will add one when I am going to use it.

Ok Ok, I must admit that although Tilda and Edwin are still my favorites, I have really enjoyed working on this Willow image. I think a few more may just find their way into my collection :)

Japanese Tilda - Card #1 for 2011 - Thanks Peggy B

Hi everyone, Welcome back and Happy 2011.

I must thank Peggy Biggs for this absolutely gorgeous Japanese Tilda image that she sent to me with her beautiful December Mingle card. I don't have this Tilda and I just loved making this card. I really didn't do anything to much with this one, I don't think it needed it.

Now I typically start with coloring my image before selecting my DP, but this time I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use....

Here is the recipe for this card:

DP is by Kaisercraft, (couldn't find a name, sorry) to which I added a little White Opal Liquid Pearls to the stamens. I used Nellie Snellen's MFD 007 dies for the mats behind Tilda and WOJ Fancy Shape die with sentiment from WOJ Magical Wishes set.

The flowers are some that I have had for a long time and I believe they are early Prima's. I just added some Ruby Red and White Opal Liquid Pearls in the centers and then Star Dust Stickles to give them some bling.

As usual Tilda is colored with Copic Markers, and the lovely ribbon is from my ever growing collection....(shhh don't tell DH) lol.

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by.

Ever since moving to Perth 5 years ago, I have belonged to a small but thoroughly enjoyable craft group. The group consists of 7 regulars and a couple of girls who come whenever they get the chance and we meet every Friday morning for a few hours.

This year I decided to get all the girls a personalized stamp each for Christmas and was so pleased with how they came out. I think each one reflects the personality of the girl perfectly. I ordered them online from the same great seller (eBay) that I have used previously and he really didn't disappoint. I got another one for myself as well but just had the wording changed a little from my first one. You can see them all below.....aren't they great?

Now I had just finished making a cute little bag from my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge on my Cricut Expression, when my daughter suggested I make one for each of the girls and put their stamp in them.

I thought that was a really cool idea, so I went to work and here are the finished results. Please excuse the photo's, I had forgotten to take pics to show you all, so my daughter took these pics after everyone had received them at our Christmas Lunch.

They were all cut on both CS and DP (as well as for decorative purposes, it gave them extra strength).

Ribbon or Lace around was added around the outside of the bag.

String beading around both edges of the bag body.

Mini Tilda's from the Fall Kit were used and colored with Copics for one side of the bags.

I used both Nesties and Nellie Snellen dies for the mat shapes, then on a couple I masked Tilda and air brushed the mat.

I made matching name tags for the opposite side of the bags, used SU Dazzling Diamonds and Stickles, added flowers, (used both Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts) and finished the all off with bows.

I know black and cream is not your typical Festive colors, but that was what my daughter (Nicole) requested, and seeing as how she made the suggestion for the bags I couldn't really say no, could I....lol

I think they turned out really well and the girls loved them.

When I had finished making the bags, Nicole was still trying to decide what to make for the girls, so I suggested these gorgeous tissue boxes that I had recently seen one of the girls on the Magnolia_licious group make and put on her blog.

Now I couldn't find the actual posting for the tissue box, so we searched YouTube and found a video which we tried to copy. Unfortunately, the tissue box sizes here in Australia must be a little different than those in the US so we had to make a couple of attempts at re-sizing to fit our boxes before we 'got it right'.

And to keep them in 'sync' with the bags I had made, Nicole chose the same colors and ribbon where possible.

Well I must admit, this has been an epic post, 5 days in the making. I started it several days ago and have only just had the time to finish it. It's just that time of the year I think...always something happening.

Isn't Tilda just so cute all dressed in festive green? Here she is on Christmas morning unwrapping some well deserved pressies :)

OK, I know these next couple of cards are not Magnolia's, but I think you will agree that they are just so cute...:)

They are digi stamps by the very talented Di Carubia. Now I have always been very cautious about digi stamps, but when I saw these absolutely gorgeous images I decided the time had come to bite the bullet and give them a try. I think they have turned out beautifully and am really pleased with them, so pleased that I am now building quite a library of digi stamps.

The image is colored with Copics on XPress-It Blending card.

Bazzill CS.

I stamped and embossed snowflakes on the white mat and used Bearly Mine Digi DP. I continued the same on the inside of the card as well.

I found several free sentiment sites online, and really liked this one.

The lovely cross-grain ribbon is from stash.

PENGUINS VISIT

Ok this is another Di Carubia digi stamp, this one is called Penguins Visit.

Again I colored with Copics, but as much as I like coloring reds, I think I definitely need to practice my shading a bit more.

The gorgeous DP is a digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs from the Christmas Dreams collection. Isn't this one just so appropriate for this image!

I used a sticker snowflakes border (hard to see I know) around the image mat.

and a special 'note' I would be absolutely lost without my fabulous BOW-EASY which is available here from the lovely Diana.

Happy Sunday everybody, I hope your weekend is going fabulously.

Today I have 4 christmas cards for you using the same Wrapped Tilda and would love to hear what you think....so here we go

#1 Blue Wrapped Tilda

Isn't she a cutie! I love this little gal, so much so that I have done a 'series' of cards with her.

I don't have any snowflake punches, so I cut these with my Cricut Expressions (I can't believe I have had my Cricut for almost 18 months and have hardly used it!) I covered them and edged mat and Nestie with SU Dazzling Diamonds. All DP's are digital from Bearly Mine and are fantastic. I think I own almost every set lol.

#2 Purple Wrapped Tilda

In keeping with the lovely DP used on this card, More Cricut snowflakes, covered with SU Dazzling Diamonds, I love that stuff and it lasts for ages. I also used it around the Papermania sentiment which was embossed. The mauve mats are a shimmer CS but is hard to tell from the photo.

#3 Green Wrapped Tilda

Now I don't know about you, but I just love Nesties, Nellie Snellen's, Marianne designs etc....anything that will give me great mats for my images, and when I saw these beautiful Spellbinder Ornaments, well, as you can see, I just had to have them.
I also used Nellie Snellen dies for the other mats and edged all of them with SU Dazzling Diamonds.

#4 Yellow Wrapped Tilda

I have had this paper for a few years now but never got around to using it. Don't get me wrong, I love the paper, but just couldn't find a way to use it on my Christmas cards because of the color, but, once I colored this little sweetie it seemed perfect.
With this easel card I placed a smaller Nellie Snellen matching mat behind the main mat and I think it works brilliantly.

Sneak Peek Revealed...and more!!

Happy Friday everyone and thanks for stopping by today.

Those of you who dropped by yesterday would have seen the sneak preview of todays card, and now I would like to show you the whole card.

I made this little cutie for a dear friend's birthday a few weeks ago. My friend lives several hundred Kilometres from me and who I haven't managed to catch up with her in person since we both moved from the Pilbara region to different parts of our State 5 years ago.

For this card I used:

Bazzill CS for the card base and mat
Bearly Mine Digi Paper which I stitched to the mat
Flowers are a combo of Wild Orchid (small ones) and some fabulous roses that I found at a local market
pearls, brads and flourish are from my stash
This was my first attempt at pleating the ribbon and I think it turned out fabulously
This Tilda is not one I own (it was a mingle gift and she is a real cutie)and is colored with Copics...I have loads of Distress Inks but just can't get the hang of coloring with them :(

I am very very overdue posting this card, but here it is. It is my October Mingle card that I sent to Bev B. I chose an olive green and maroon/burgandy theme and was thoroughly pleased with the result. Don't you just love those roses! I think they are gorgeous.

Midsummer Tilda was colored with Copics, 'popped' on a distress inked nestie mat and larger nestie DP mat
The DP's I used were from my stash and were a few years old so I don't have the details, sorry.
I crackled the chipboard tag before stamping the sentiment
Ribbon and pearls are from stash
Flowers and leaves are Wild Orchid Crafts, with MS Branch and Frond punches.
Given the rich colors, I don't think this card needed anything else (except a good home...which it found with Bev)

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have been extremely busy (scouts honor) lol.

I have now finished almost all my Christmas cards, I think I only have about 3 to go....including the December Mingle for the Magnolia_licious yahoo group that I am on.

I have also been making a few gifts for the girls on my Friday morning craft group. I will post pics of these next week after our Christmas breakup and they have been given out.I must admit though that I am really pleased with them.

Anyhow, I have lots to share so I will have to post over two or three days so as not to bore you all too much.

Sarah's Ladybug Tilda

Good Morning everyone. It is a beautiful day here in Perth Western Australia. Sunny and 28C woohoo!!

One of my adorable granddaughters Sarah (I have 4) will be celebrating her 8th birthday in a few days and this is the card I have made for her. I chose this Tilda because it is one stamp that she hasn't seen yet, so it should be a surprise.

3 of my granddaughters have all got a book each with all my stamps stamped in them for them to color and they love them too.

The youngest Kaitlyn lives 1600Km away from me and recently went to visit her grandparents in the UK with her father, so I bought her a book and stamped all the images in it to help keep her occupied during the long flight. She had been down to visit us a couple of months before and had seen my 'maggie girls' and when she looked at the book I had done for her she pointed to several of them and said......wait for it.......This is new....this is new....this is new!!! and she was right. It was all the new Summer kit.

Six years old and she knew exactly what I had...I was flabbergasted......lol

Tilda's gone shopping!!

Happy Saturday to you all. I hope your weekend is going well so far and that you have managed to put aside some time to spend crafting..:)

I fell in love with this gorgeous gal the moment I saw her and knew that I had to have her...and the boutique...well I couldn't have one without the other...could I?

Tilda is colored with Copics, with glossy accents on her shoulder bag and boots.

CS is Bazzil

Liquid Pearls on both Tilda's necklace and pendant.

I stitched flower pattern on the Bearly Mine Digi Papers (I love these babies)

Cut the boutique with a Nestie, added ribbon and charm from my stash

Flowers are from that fab Co. Wild Orchid

Beaded branch (not really sure what they are called) is from stash that I managed to get at Michael's while on holiday in LA earlier this year.

and finally added a sentiment from JustRite stamps to my Nestie cut mounts and attached with some pop dots for dimension.

I just love this gal and can see her gracing quite a few of my future cards......

I had real fun making this card....and now I am trying to decide which little cutie to ink up next.......decisions decisions decisions.......

hApPY HAlLoWEen Tilda

Hi guys, thanks for stopping by :)

I have never made a Halloween card before, so this is a first. I found some great DP by MYmemories at a local Art supply store and used this as my color foundation. All CS is Bazzil and I have distressed all the mats using my fabulous Zutter Distresser.

I also found some great cobweb looking ribbon which of course I just had to have, and I think works great.

Bat Tilda (which is currently in stock over at Diana's Magnolilicious store) was part of the delicious blog candy that I won over at the uber talented Cheryl Rowley's Cottage Creation blog. Thanks Cheryl.

Tilda is colored with Copics, Glossy accents added to her headwear, boots and bow on her top and applied with foam tape for dimension.

Pumpkin and Skeleton charms are from stash.

Sentiment is assembled using JustRite stamps and inked with Distress Ink Dusty Concord.

The inside of the card is fairly plain and just distressed again with the Zutter and Distress Ink.

I am pleased with the finished item, what do you think?

Well I am exhausted...DH and I spent the day in the garden, weeding yukkk. Unfortunately hubby and I were not blessed with the gardening gene and it is definitely one task that i would happily pay someone else to do. My back aches, my legs ache, my hands etc....well, you get the idea.

Anyhoo, My mingle partner Irene D let me know today that she received my mingle card so now I can post it, Didn't want to spoil the surprise..:)

For this mingle the theme was bright, so....with Spring on our doorstep and the bees already buzzing around my rose bed and lemon tree, I thought this little cutie would be just right....

Since getting home from our holiday in Bali, I was struck down with an awful bout of the flu and was bed ridden for a week, but i have managed to color up a few precious Tilda's and will be posting them over the next couple of days.

Happy Sunday from Beautiful Bali Indonesia

Hi fellow maggie lovers and welcome to my post from Bali. We arrived on Thursday and the weather is glorious. Being my 9th visit, I have been to all the touristy spots before,so this time we are mainly sitting back relaxing and walking around bartering with the local store holders. If you have never been to this beautiful part of the world, I highly recommend a visit.

Anyhoo, this is a card I made before leaving home for a g/f's son and partner on the birth of their first child. I didn't want to make an 'ordinary' baby girl card, so this is what I came up with. I think it works well....

Happy Thursday everyone, only 2 days before the weekend....and only 7 more sleeps for me before my dear hubby and I take off to Bali Indonesia for 9 days...I can't wait. It will be my 9th visit to the beautiful island (can you tell I love it?) and I will be there again for Christmas....Gee what we have to endure lol.

Anyhoo, the card I have to show you today is another Tilda with violin (just love this cutie). I wanted to try and create the embossed DP look with my wonderful Digi papers and think it worked out fabulously. I am so pleased with the result that I think this will find it's way onto quite a few of my cards ;)

Christmas Tilda with Gift

Happy Thursday everyone, and thanks for taking the time to stop by.

I decided to ink up this little beauty during my weekend away and think she turned out really well. I plan to color her in different color schemes as a start on my large list of christmas cards. Well, there is only just over 5 months to go..
Tilda is colored with Copics, Bearly Mine Digi Paper, Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers, SU Dazzling Diamonds, Glossy Accents on Tilda's boots and lace is from my stash.

According to Magnolia Sweden this Tilda is called Tilda with Gift, but I can't see her in Diana's store. If you contact Diana she may be able to order her in for you.

I really enjoyed making this sweet Tilda, but I think she is still a little under embellished. I think the next one will have a bit more 'Glamour'.

Hi everyone...Last weekend the girls from my weekly Friday craft group and I went down to Margaret River which is South of Perth Western Australia and is well known in the surfing community for it's fabulous surfing. However, we were there for a craft weekend..no kids, no hubbies...only crafting. And boy oh boy did I do well. 5 cards and a desk caddy no less!!
I will post the rest of these projects over the next couple of days, but here is the desk caddy which I love. I got the tutorial for the caddy here. I made another one when I got home I loved it so much. You would be surprised at the strength of the caddy, given it is all paper.

I hope you like my caddy and feel encouraged to try it yourself.

I am pleased to announce that my refill inks arrived yesterday and I can now get coloring again...yay

A little while ago I was one of the lucky customers at Diana's store to receive the Tilda with Violin as a free gift and this is the very first card I have made with her. I think she is gorgeous but had been a little apprehensive about coloring her as I knew I wanted her dress to be white and I hadn't 'done' white before. But, I got brave, watched a couple of really helpful YouTube tutorials and away I went. I am pleased with the way she turned out, what do you think?

Wow 2 posts in one day

Okay everyone I seem to have outdone myself today with 2 posts...phew!!

A friend is currently visiting his sister in Florida and she kindly allowed me to have my order of 40 Copic markers sent to her home so that our friend can bring them back to Australia for me. We pay $8+ per marker here in Australia, so this was too good an opportunity to pass up and I made this card to saay thank you to her.

The image is Tilda with Piglet (?) and it was sent to me by one of my mingle partners...it's adorable.

Anyhoo....here is the card.....and yep...it's another Easel.....gotta love this style :)

I have been lurking a bit lately, but I have been checking out all the fabulous blogs and gorgeous creations. May Pole Explosion Card for Magnolia-licious Birthday Bash

I have just entered into my first ever online contest !!! Magnolia-licious is celebrating it's 2nd birthday and invited everyone to make an Explosion Box (tutorial here at Splitcoaststampers).
As well as being my 1st contest, it is my 1st Explosion Box too, so I was a bit apprehensive but decided to try anyway. For my box I used:
Lady Tilda, Midsummer Tilda, Happy Tilda and Sweet Tilda to have them dancing around a maypole (well it is still May...right?) in celebration of the Big Birthday Bash.
I used acetate to stand Tilda's up
MS Punch for Butterfly

I have been asked what I used for the pole, well it is just an old black lead pencil that I had and I cut it to the desired height........(you know the old saying "Any port in a storm") :)

I have had to put several pictures up so that you can get a better idea....it does look a whole lot better in real life.

I purposely left the outside of the box fairly plain to give the inside more impact.

I can't wait to see what the next challenge is....:)

Snow White Tilda

I made this card for one of my 4 grand-daughters who just turned 6. This Tilda With Apple #3036 was from the Spring Kit that I got from Magnolia Sweden...you can get all the info on ordering kits here. This stamp is available from Diana's Magnolia-licious store here.
I used Copics and H20's, Wild Orchid flowers, Nesties, Bazzil CS, DP is from stash, Martha Stewart punches and ribbon from stash.
My grand-daughter lives 1600km away, but I know she loves it because we use Skype to keep in touch face-to-face. (Love Skype).
Also, my oldest daughter who lives near to me, helped me make 14 party hats for the party but I forgot to take a piccy of them before sending. If my daughter remembers to take a piccy for me I will post later.
